Quotations -
Crafted Joinery offers free quotations that are valid 30 days from the date specified in the document. The price set out in the quotation will be subject to change once that 30 days has elapsed.
The quotation will be a detailed explanation of the product and or service that Crafted Joinery will be providing. It will include all of the relevant costs in order to complete the specified works.
Crafted Joinery will happily look into the substitution of materials or finishes in order to maintain your budget. Discounts will not be given unless specifically agreed prior to manufacture.
Products -
Crafted Joinery will work closely with you in order to best achieve the desired outcome for your joinery project. This process will require a written agreement and approval of drawings for Crafted Joinery to commence work. Drawings can be provided by Crafted Joinery or others. Production will not commence until written approval and staged payment is received.
Once Crafted Joinery has accepted your order you will receive updates of progress and timelines for the project.
Delivery -
When your product has been delivered or collected, Crafted Joinery will require a signature of acceptance to show that you’re happy with the product. This will signify completion of the transaction and transfer of liability to you the customer. The final invoice will then be generated.
Storage -
In the event of delays, Crafted Joinery reserves the right to place the joinery into a storage facility until the joinery is required. This cost will be passed on to the customer. Crafted Joinery will notify the customer of this in writing prior to any additional costs.
Delays -
Crafted Joinery cannot be held responsible for delays out of their reasonable control. This includes material supply failure. Surveying delays due to incomplete areas and or natural disasters. All delays will be reported in writing with as much notice as possible outlining how this will affect the delivery date.
Cancellations -
All cancellations whether manufacturing or site visits for install or survey are subject to abortive costs at Crafted Joinery's discretion.
In the event of a manufacturing cancellation, post deposit being paid, Crafted Joinery reserves the right to recover costs of any materials or services already ordered. This will be reported to you in writing.
Cancelled installs or surveys with less than three days notice will be subject to abortive costs. This will be £250 per person attending the site.
Damage -
Crafted Joinery endeavours to deliver the best possible finish for all projects. In the unfortunate event that joinery is damaged in transit, the client will be responsible for reporting the damage within 24 hours. The delivery note can be signed as “Damaged” so long as Crafted Joinery receives notification within the 24 hours.
Crafted joinery will install all joinery with the utmost care and attention. However, they will not be held responsible for any damage caused by the installation. Where they wish to make any necessary repairs, Crafted Joinery will not be responsible for extensive repairs.
Solid/Veneered Joinery Work
Colour and grain variation in timber is a natural occurrence. Due to this, Crafted Joinery will not be responsible for replacing or refinishing any joinery. The Crafted Joinery team will work closely with suppliers to ensure the best possible materials are used in order to limit variation. This could differ slightly from supplied samples.
With the continuous changing of environmental conditions, Crafted Joinery will use techniques in order to allow for the movement of natural products. However, in certain instances, this can’t be helped. Crafted Joinery can not be held responsible for naturally occurring movement or degradation of the product.
Painted Finishes
When joinery is to be supplied in a painted finish, it will not be Crafted Joinery’s responsibility to maintain the finished product. Primed only joinery packages require the full paint finish to be applied in order to fully protect the joinery and prevent water ingress. This will need to be applied within one week.
If joinery is supplied without finish as per the customers request. Crafted Joinery can not be held responsible for any degradation or damage that has occurred after delivery/installation.
Fire Prevention Work
Crafted Joinery is not a certified fire door manufacturer. This means, we will manufacture doors and screens to all the necessary requirements in order to pass building inspections. However, we will not be able to provide a certificate. Crafted Joinery will not be held responsible for any joinery that does not meet the regulations that have been specified by the client or agreed in writing.
Warrantees/Post Sales Care
Crafted Joinery aims to provide the best possible product with the accompanying hardware and finishes. Crafted Joinery will repair or replace any items that have failed or are not working as specified if it is deemed to be a manufacturing defect or fitment issue.
Crafted Joinery will not be responsible for products that have been misused, damaged due to lack of care or environmental issues.
Changes in Services
In the event of any changes to the scope of works. All changes will be agreed in writing in a reasonable timescale.
Any changes that incur additional costs will be invoiced as normal. They will be subject to the original payment terms. Crafted Joinery reserves the right to charge for additional time in order to execute the extra work.
Payment Terms
Supply only work -
Crafted Joinery will invoice 50% of the total invoice amount in order to place material orders and commence work on your project. As soon as the 50% is settled, Crafted Joinery will provide detailed CAD drawings for approval and place material orders. This is non refundable.
Once drawings are approved, Crafted Joinery will give you a collection/delivery schedule.
As soon as the joinery is ready for collection, you will receive a 40% invoice, once this is settled, your joinery will be released.
The final 10% invoice is to give the customer the opportunity to make sure they’re happy with the work. The final invoice is to be settled in 14 days.
Supply and installation work -
Crafted Joinery will invoice 50% of the total invoice amount in order to place material orders and commence work on your project. As soon as the 50% is settled, Crafted Joinery will provide detailed CAD drawings for approval and place material orders. This is non refundable.
Once drawings are approved, Crafted Joinery will give you a delivery/install schedule that works with both parties.
As soon as the joinery is ready for installation, you will receive the 40% interim invoice, once this is settled, Crafted Joinery or a trusted third party will attend site on the agreed date and complete the installation. This will generate the final 10% invoice.
The final 10% invoice is to give the customer the opportunity to make sure they’re happy with the work. The final invoice is to be settled in 14 days.
